Section 02: Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information (optional): name, email address, and preferences if you create an account.
  • Support messages: content you send when you contact us through email or our contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser data: device type, operating system, browser type, language, and screen size so puzzles render correctly.
  • Usage data: pages or screens visited, games played, session duration, and general interaction events.
  • Approximate location: country or region derived from IP address (not precise GPS location).
  • Gameplay progress: scores, puzzle completion, hints used, and settings — stored locally in your browser or app unless you use account sync.
  • Diagnostics: crash logs, performance data, and error reports to keep the service stable.

Advertising-related data

  • On the website, we and our advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, subject to your browser settings and consent where required.
  • In our mobile apps, advertising partners may collect device identifiers, device information, and ad interaction data to show ads and measure their performance. On iOS, this may include data collected only with your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, where applicable.

What we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or unnecessary social profile data.

Section 03: Mobile apps (iOS and Android)

Our iOS and Android apps offer the same core puzzle games and optional account features as the website, in a layout designed for phones and tablets. When you use an app:

  • Gameplay progress and settings may be stored on your device and, if you sign in, synced with your account.
  • We may show ads in the apps, such as optional rewarded hints or ads shown at natural breaks in play.
  • The apps may request permissions needed to run properly (for example, network access). Any permissions are described on the Apple App Store or Google Play store listing before you install.
  • On iOS, you can limit ad tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and manage advertising preferences in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
  • On Android, you can limit ad personalization in your device Google account ad settings.

Data collected through the apps is handled under this policy and, where applicable, under the privacy policies of our integrated service providers.

Section 04: How we use information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve puzzle games on the website and in our mobile apps.
  • Save your progress, settings, and optional account data.
  • Measure aggregated usage to fix bugs and improve performance.
  • Display advertising that helps keep core gameplay free.
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against abuse or fraud.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for unrelated profiling or hidden data brokerage.

Section 05: Advertising and analytics

Website

Our website may display third-party advertising. These services may use cookies and similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and, where offered, consent tools.

Mobile apps

Our iOS and Android apps may show third-party ads, including rewarded ads for optional hints and ads at natural breakpoints such as after completing a puzzle. You can control ad personalization using your device privacy settings as described in Section 03.

Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand traffic and feature usage in aggregate. Analytics data is not used to identify you personally unless you are signed in to an account.

Section 06: How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run PuzzleVuzzle, such as:

  • Hosting and content delivery providers
  • Email delivery for support and account messages
  • Analytics and crash-reporting tools
  • Advertising and monetization partners

These providers process data only to deliver their services to us and are required to protect it appropriately. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of PuzzleVuzzle and our users.

Section 07: Data retention and security

We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Guest gameplay data stored locally on your device remains until you clear app or browser storage.
  • Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of a verified deletion request.
  • Server logs and aggregated analytics may be retained for a limited period for security and operations.

We use HTTPS encryption in transit, restrict internal access, and store passwords using one-way hashing (never plain text).

Section 08: About our games and original work

PuzzleVuzzle includes Word Search, Number Search, Fill-Ins, Color Rush, Zip Game, Queens Game, Wordscapes, Arrow Escape, and Tangram. Some puzzle styles may be familiar across the internet because they are established logic concepts.

Our implementations, including code, interface, and puzzle logic design, are independently developed by PuzzleVuzzle.

Official statement on independent development

Zip Game and Queens Game on PuzzleVuzzle were created by our team from scratch. We did not copy source code or interface assets from other platforms.

While general puzzle mechanics are long-standing public concepts, our specific creative expression and implementation are original to PuzzleVuzzle.

Our intellectual property

Our codebase, visuals, game behavior, and platform design are protected by applicable copyright law.

Copyright and puzzle mechanics

Game rules and abstract mechanics are not owned by a single company. What is protected is each creator's original implementation.

If you have a genuine concern, please contact us directly so we can resolve it in good faith.

Section 09: Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and related data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time

To exercise these rights, email privacy@puzzlevuzzle.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Account deletion: You may request deletion through email or, where available, in-app/account settings. Deletion removes account profile data from our systems within the retention period above; local device data must be cleared separately.

Section 10: Children's privacy

PuzzleVuzzle is family-friendly, but our services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

Children may play in guest mode with progress stored only on the device. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact privacy@puzzlevuzzle.com and we will delete it promptly.

Where required, we configure advertising to be appropriate for general audiences and comply with applicable child-privacy rules.

Section 11: International users

PuzzleVuzzle may process and store information in countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the website or apps, you understand that your information may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Section 12: Policy updates

We may update this policy when our practices, games, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For significant changes affecting registered users, we may also notify you by email or in-app notice where appropriate.

Continued use of PuzzleVuzzle after an update means you accept the revised policy.
